Kia originally called this MPV concept the "Million Possibilities Vehicle", but it has now settled on something slightly less grandiose. Now known as the Kia No. 3, this compact people mover concept is essentially a tamer, more car-like version of the Soul.

Kia describes this as a new five-seat MPV, although we're personally a bit dubious of that description. In Europe there are taller versions of various hatchbacks that fit the description of an MPV such as the Ford C-Max and VW Golf Plus. The closest we have in the U.S. is the Mazda5, and the No 3 concept doesn't seem to fit with any of those.


One of the cleverest features of the Kia No. 3 is a diagonal header rail. Rather than cutting straight across the windshield, it arches from the right-side A-pillar to the B-pillar on the driver�s side. Could this actually reach production models? It�s highly unlikely, but it�s a fun, playful touch.

Penned by Kia design chief Peter Schreyer and a European design team, the exterior of the No. 3 is finished in matte Titanium Gray with glossy white accents. A panoramic glass roof and extended windscreen add plenty of light to the cabin, as well as offer a nice overhead look at the No. 3�s five-seat interior.

The auto maker has also made full use of the motor show by showcasing a total of 20 Kia�s including the Kia Soul, the upgraded 2009 Kia Sportage compact SUV, and the 2009 Kia Magentis sedan.
