Those of you who might have seen James Bond controlling his cars with watch in old movies would never have had thought in rarest of dreams that one day it will be a reality. Yes, now it is. The AMVOX2 DBS Transponder is the most recent addition to the exclusive AMVOX range of timepieces created jointly by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin. This exceptional watch is able to lock and unlock the car, but you need to own an Aston Martin DBS for that matter. Though the 18-carat pink gold AMVOX DBS Transponder includes the same chronograph functionality as the AMVOX2 line of watches, but adds to that with a special miniaturized circuit that reads pressure on the sapphire crystal to allow locking/unlocking the car with nothing more than press on the watch’s face. As the driver will press the ‘OPEN’ position on the watch glass, the door-opening system will be activated and pressing the ‘CLOSE’ position will lock the car again. The watch has no push buttons and will be available exclusively through Aston Martin dealers.
