Porsche has officially unveiled two V6-powered models at Beijing Motor show: RWD Panamera and AWD Panamera 4 that will be available in rear or all-wheel-drive. Whereas the starting price for the former will be $74,400, but the price for the second model to begin at $78,900. And the all-new Porsche engine is built on the same line as the normally aspirated and twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 engines found in the Panamera S, 4S and Turbo.
If we compare it with the V8-powered Panamera S, the 3.6-liter V6 churns out 300hp and 295 pound-feet of torque. The numbers for the power and the torque are 100hp and 74 lb-ft less to 4.8-liter V8. The other standard equipments for the V6 Panamera include Porsche’s seven-speed Doppelkupplungsgetriebe dual-clutch transmission, an electric moon roof, power liftgate, and the Porsche Communication Management system with navigation.
The other features include a Bi-Xenon headlights, Bluetooth telephone connectivity, and the universal audio interface to connect an external audio source such as an iPod or a USB stick with the PCM system. On the other, V6 puts 66 fewer pounds over the front axle that takes the overall weight to 3,880 pounds. Also, Auto Stop/Start technology to help V6 Panamera run a few miles more on each gallon of gasoline. New Porsche models to go on sale in June.
